Vijay clears the deck for the release of Simbu’s Vaalu

The release date of Simbu's Vaalu has been announced several times but the film has failed to get released so far because it was mired in financial issues.


 Now, we hear that actor Vijay has rendered moral — and financial support — to Simbu and helped clear all the issues so that the film can be released soon. Industry sources say that Vijay has offered a few crores to settle the financial issues. Also, distributors who have been distributing the actor's film have come forward to distribute the film. After Vijay's timely help, now the film is likely to hit the screens on August 14.

A distributor who did not wish to be named told us, "Usually, when an actor is in trouble, his colleagues rarely come to his rescue, but Vijay came forward to help on his own accord. He told us that he had read about Vaalu's problems in the papers. He said, 'I have to help as I know it would hurt an actor if his film doesn't release on time.

' He also mentioned that he has been a huge fan of T Rajendar (Simbu's father) since childhood. We don't want to confirm the exact amount but Vijay has helped the makers with a few crores to sort out their issues. And now, as per his request, some of us have been working on streamlining the distribution of this film so that it can be released on August 14."

It has to be noted that Simbu was among the first stars to offer his support to Vijay when the actor's Thalaivaa was mired in controversy. When we spoke to T Rajendar, he said, "Vijay's moral support is bigger than anything else."
