I didn't own power to make final decision to issue nominations to Mahinda : President

Head of states President Maithripala Sirisena announced that he didn’t own power to make final decision on issuing nominations to former president Mahinda Rajapaksa, Saman Ratnapriya leader of trade union representating civil committee said.

On Wednesday President met civil committee representatives who have strongly supported him to achieve victory in the presidential election.
Civil committees strongly oppose the decision to issue nomination to former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Responding to this president added this was not my personal decision to issue nomination to Mahinda.
Ven. Sobitha thero was also invited for this meeting and thero refused to participate in this meeting.
